About

My name is Taylor Gonzales. I am from Seattle, WA., and I am currently attending Washington State University. I am majoring in Advertising and Digital Technology & Culture.

I created this website to educate people on the 1950s comedian, Lenny Bruce. I made this website as part of a school project at Washington State University. I chose to educate people on Lenny Bruce because he set the stage for comedians and encouraged them to practice their First Amendment right.

I honestly first learned about Lenny Bruce from the Amazon Prime show, “The Marvelous Ms. Maisel,” where he makes guest apperances. His comedy style was very interesting because it was very taboo in the 1950s. He discussed things that were not socially acceptable to talk about. He also criticized well respected communities of people such as religious groups and the government.

After this project, I have learned the influence Lenny Bruce had on comedians, as well as his Legacy that lives on today. In developing this website, I have also learned about the importance of hierarchy, and consistency throughout a site, in order to make it easy and enjoyable to navigate.
